History

CAT is a calibration laboratory with more than 20-year experience in the metrology world. It was the first private calibration laboratory in Catalonia and one of the first laboratories in Spain to obtain ENAC accreditation.

CAT rises from the need detected by its founder, Carlos Prats, in the field of calibration services.

Engineer (UPC) with a wide experience in the calibration sector, co-responsible for introducing top brands in the calibration sector in Spain such as Beamex, DHI, among others. He was a professor in the first master course on calibration in Spain at the University of Girona, during courses  between 1997 and 2000.

CAT uses the best patterns in the market, presenting very good uncertainties in each calibration area. CAT is mainly a highly-qualified technical-profile human team, which is made up of  professionals with a wide experience in the sector.
